I am just reading through past comments. I realize that I don’t entirely understand regular adornments. I’ve had my moments but, it seems like when such efforts are constant, they are no longer special. At least for me, it goes from a “wow moment” to “meh” to “wait, what happened?”.

America being the melting pot that it is, allows all by someone but not everyone. Nothing has a 100% approval rating. I’ve had manicure (and pedicures). Only a handful of people noticed. I don’t show my feet very often so that is out. I was mainly concerned with hangnails and the excess skin that grows around the cuticles. I suppose having massage-suitable hands was an added bonus.

I tend to see through the lens that suggest that those who spend an incredible amount of time working on or considering appearance could spend that time doing something more productive. Such thinking is based more in the realm of the societal/communal than the individual.

That is a pretty serious deal. I may have to cut out Chipotle or at least the tortilla. I’m trying to drop my weight a bit for climbing but, I am not terribly worried about my fat consumption due to my normal intake from my common foods. I do love avocados. I also have a thing for cheeses.

O-o. definitely can relate to the vanity and icoc…I guess he’s trying to make a point about the longterm impacts of anything in excess thats also stressful with the gray hair comment. I guess…

If it helps, the avocado has “good” fat – fat that is beneficial and has a positive effect on cholesterol. Also, what in the world is in that tortilla that it has 7 grams of protein?? And 670 mg of sodium??

I didn’t view it that way. I appreciate your insight in this matter. I’ve also started going gray… meh. At some point my hair will be pepper, gray, white or gone. I’ll manage.

I am now curious if any really old people have yet to have their hair change color.

Maybe they just meant that a man of your age would look strange with gray locs. Then again, I’m a 32-year-old with more grey than some people twice my age, so what do I know?
